Welcome to Cow Cottage. This is the bigger cottage of The Cow & Calf Cottages. Calf Cottage which sleeps 1 is also available to book.
Cow Cottage has a spacious open plan lounge with Smart TV and comfy couches. There is a fully fitted and well kitted out kitchen as well as a table for eating at. There are 2 separate bedrooms: the first with a double bed and the second with 1 single There is a bathroom with shower.
Cow Cottage has its own decking, so you can sit outside sipping your glass of local wine looking at the spectacular view opposite of the lake and hills. At night, there is minimal light pollution, and we sometimes see the Milky Way. There is an outside area for picnics/ dining which is shared with the other cottage. The Cow & Calf cottages are fully fenced and away from the main house. We are by Puketapu Road and we offer ample off-road parking.
We are situated right by the Puketapu Cycle track which is part of the Hawkes Bay Cycle Trails. So, if you're here to cycle, you can set off straight from your cottage. We have secure storage for bikes (please arrange your own insurance though).
We are also situated only 1 min drive to Shed 530 Bistro & Winery one of the many fantastic wineries in the region & the Puketapu Pub & dairy are within walking distance too. The river is 5 mins walk away, great to cool off in the summer.
Being just 15 minutes' drive from Napier, Napier airport and Hastings, you really can experience the best of both worlds: the busyness of the CBD and then just a short drive back to your cottage and rural calm.
